Meet Obakeng Moreo, the esteemed pastor of Calvary Baptist Church in Mmabatho, where he serves as the lead elder and dedicated teacher. Graduating from Christ Seminary in 2007, Obakeng’s journey in ministry has been marked by a profound commitment to spiritual enlightenment and community service. As the spiritual shepherd of Calvary Baptist Church, Obakeng embodies the values of compassion, wisdom, and faith, guiding his congregation towards a deeper understanding of God’s love and grace.

In addition to his pastoral duties, Obakeng holds a pivotal leadership role as the Chairman of the North West Region, extending his influence beyond the confines of his congregation to foster unity and collaboration among believers across the region. Furthermore, his involvement in the Executive of both the Baptist Northern Association and the Baptist Union of South Africa underscores his dedication to advancing Baptist principles and empowering communities nationwide.

Despite the demands of his pastoral and leadership responsibilities, Obakeng finds profound joy and fulfillment in his role as a husband to April and a father to their two daughters and a son. Their family serves as a shining example of love, faith, and togetherness, reflecting the values that Obakeng instills in both his personal and professional life.
